	Hardware Independency Policy (connecting different devices) Having the possibility to connect simultaneously to different devices is one of the key features offered by Polarix Platform.
Depending on the vehicle type and functionality you may need different devices from different manufacturers working together at the same time under the same system. PolarSuite and PolarNET are the two solutions that can give you both: a secure and proven software system plus unlimited integration with different device types.

Open Architecture

We have created a standard device protocol that can be set to decode different message packages from any device. This open architecture allows connecting any type of device to your system. However, natively embedded protocols give you more power and remote control. Here is the list of embedded protocols:

	Simple GPS Plotters The simplest devices are just GPS receivers connected to a modem for sending the data.
With a cost oscillating around the 100$ mark, these devices are recommended for map plotting applications.
	Intelligent Boxes These devices contains a GPS receiver, a modem and a programmable unit that can be set to respond to predefined conditions.
With a cost lower than the 1000$ mark, depending on the programmable features offered, they're recommended for tracking applications with alarms and event notifications.
	Mobile Data Terminals These are the most complex devices offering also a screen and some input media to provide two-way communication.
With a cost that may start as low as 500$ but that can reach 3000$ or more depending on the screen, operating system and embedded features, these devices are mandatory for dispatching applications.
