PolarServer (also called PolarTracker Server) is a separate application that runs outside the PolarSuite common interface environment, but it is also the most important functional entity of the entire system: it provides the communication between the client programs and the remote mobile units.

PolarServer has been carefully designed to natively support new devices protocols using an expandable modular architecture that avoid disruption of the service when installing functional add-ons to the system.

PolarServer is the core module supporting the hardware-independent policy of PolarSuite. This Server App accepts simultaneous connections with different devices using different communication protocols (TCP-Internet Protocol, UDP, cell-phone GRPS, CDMA, SMS, Email SMTP, File reading, Serial Comports, etc).

Polarix has established long term alliances with some hardware manufacturers whose devices have been already natively embedded within PolarServer. These devices may have a specific set of commands for remotely controlling the vehicles.

Depending on the application's requirements Polarix may recommend certain devices to the end user, however it is always up to the customer to make the final decision. Sometimes it is better to go with more than one type of device for different functioning vehicles and only PolarServer can gives you this option. For a list of embedded devices click here... more
